Lacey Living | 4 Bedroom Home in Lacey

first impressions

Between the lush landscaping and the freshly painted siding and trim, the house has curb appeal for days, and I appreciated it from the very first time I pulled into the driveway. HardiePlank siding speaks to the quality of materials chosen during construction.

After weeks navigating some tight parking in my own neighborhood, I was pretty thrilled to roll into a wide driveway with room for parking. Between that and a 3-car garage, the house provides awesome parking for residents and guests. Once I stopped, I quickly calculated the location and realized that the house is less than a quarter of a mile from the Herman Rd Trailhead of the Chehalis Western Trail, just 10 minutes to Target shopping center, and only 5 Mins to Spooner Berry Farms. To top it off, it’s an easy 20 minute drive to JBLM and a 15 minute drive to Olympia. For convenience and quality of life, the location is a win-win.

about the home

The home was designed and built by Harr Family Homes in 2008, and it’s on the market for the first time since construction. A phenomenal layout offers an organic flow that provides plenty of space to gather and room to spread apart.

On the main level, an entry with vaulted ceilings opens to a long living room with room for a comfortable seating area and a formal dining area or home office. A doorway leads directly to the kitchen from the far end of the room, but that’s not the only entrance to the back of the home. A wide hallway on the far left also leads to the kitchen and family room. The powder bathroom and coat closet are tucked out of the way within the hallway.

The kitchen makes fantastic use of space with extended upper cabinets, a peninsula, counter seating, easy access to the lower corner cabinet, and a reach-in pantry. Warm, wood cabinets are topped with crown molding and accentuated with granite tile counters and a custom tile backsplash with granite features.

The kitchen opens to a family room centered around a gas fireplace with a dining nook between the two. A sliding glass door provides views of the deck and yard from the dining nook and easy access to grilling equipment for holiday or evening cookouts. Between the slider and multiple windows, natural light keeps the kitchen and family room light and bright. I imagine a spaced filled with happy memories, where loved ones share stories while favorite meals are prepared and shared.

A door leads from the family room to the 3-car garage. It’s steps from the pantry and kitchen, making it simple to bring groceries in. The garage is nearly finished with drywall and tape, so it’s a tidy place to park, store seasonal items, pack away additional pantry and household items, or build a home gym. The ceilings are extra tall in the garage, providing vertical storage options or the potential to build an interior bouldering wall.

Upstairs, the bedrooms sit on all four corners of the home, separated by a hallway, the 2nd full bathroom, the laundry room, and storage closets. While all of the rooms are well sized, the primary suite is especially spacious and serene. Four bedrooms await your needs.

a little about the community

Lacey is a thriving community of approximately 54,000 residents. It’s situated between JBLM and Washington State’s capital of Olympia, and it features just about anything you need to live and work comfortably. Residents looking to commute to JBLM or Olympia have multiple route options and most can avoid traveling on I-5 if they’d like to.

Lacey features a mixture of neighborhoods with homes ranging from mid 1900s construction to new construction homes in planned communities. With condo, townhome, and apartment options, along with homes on larger lots and some grandfathered homesteads, Lacey offers something for everyone in a convenient location and with more attainable prices that you’ll find in neighboring Pierce County.
