Cherry Meadows Charm | 4 Bedroom Home in Yelm

First impressions

A spectacular view of Mt Rainier highlights the drive into the Cherry Meadows neighborhood in Yelm, and taking that in on a sunny day is enough to brighten any mood. In the heart of the neighborhood, sits the Cherry Meadows community park, a terrific spot for picnics, a quick game, and a good book. Across from Cherry Meadows community park sits this charming home with a rich color palette complemented by brick accents, warm wood, and recessed lighting on a welcoming porch. Here, you’ll find space, comfort, and high-end features.

About the Home

Pass through the front door, and the entry exposes 9ft ceilings and an expansive front room and formal dining area. A wide walkway leads to the home’s opposite end with a stunning great room. A butler’s pantry, tucked between the formal dining area and kitchen, grants a second passageway and additional kitchen storage.

The first of two fireplaces, flanked by build-in shelving, resides in the great room. Large windows look out to the backyard and perfect PNW covered patio. Favorite meals will come together nicely in the spacious kitchen. Stainless appliances, granite counters, a beautifully tiled backsplash, gas range, and glass hood are the perfect setting to inspire creativity, and the long island will make entertaining a breeze.

Upstairs, a loft provides an inviting retreat and creates space between the bedrooms, the secondary bathroom, and the laundry room. Each bedroom is generously sized, but the primary suite steals the show with vaulted ceilings, oversized windows, the second fireplace, a walk-through closet with custom built-ins, and a spacious bathroom.

a little about the community

Known as The Gateway to Mt Rainier, Yelm offers beauty and abundance in a vibrant community centered around brilliant local shops, restaurants, breweries, and all of the amenities of a much larger city. The Nisqually River flows through on its way to the Puget Sound, and trails and parks are scattered throughout. Located on the southern border of JBLM, Yelm provides a home within easy commuting distance to JBLM, Lacey, Olympia, and Tacoma.

Looking for a fun day in Yelm

Start the day with coffee and a donut, scone, or breakfast sandwich (or, a couple of each…I won’t judge) at The Shiplap Shop & Coffee House, and peruse through their shop full of gifts and home goods (many locally made), and beautifully refinished furniture. Then, shop locally at Between Sisters for women’s apparel and gifts, Gordon’s Garden Center for interior and exterior plants and supplies, and A Novel Bookstore for a good read. Grab lunch at Juicy Jerk BBQ and head to Yelm Park and Splash Pad for a picnic break. Once you’re fueled up, take in an afternoon movie at Yelm Cinemas or burn some calories on the Yelm-Tenino Trail or the Dechutes Falls Trail. Before heading home for the day, fill up a growler at 507 Taproom and swing into Yelm Food Coop, or another grocery store (Yelm has 4) for all the necessary dinner ingredients. If you’d rather dine out, try The Local. Wrap the day by returning to your new home at 15363 Callie Ave SE.
